Horsham Pet Lodge Terms & Conditions

  • We take looking after your pet/s very seriously. Their wellbeing, health and happiness whilst in our care is the most important thing to us.
As part of the licencing requirements for our business; we must ensure that:

1. I / We the undersigned agree that the following conditions will apply during any period my pet/s board at ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’.
 
2. VACCINATIONS: All pets entering ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’ must have a current certificate showing immunisation against the following, and must be sighted by ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’ staff preferably prior to entry via email, (or on the day of drop off), and ideally have been administered at least 2 weeks prior to acceptance of your pet/s for boarding.  

*No animals will be accepted without proof of full vaccinations.

DOGS: C3 vaccine is for Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo Virus. Canine Cough vaccine is Para influenza & Bordetella = C5 required.
 
CATS: F3 (Feline Enteritis and two forms of Feline Respiratory Disease).
             (FIV - Feline Immunodeficiency Virus is also advised).

3. ALL PETS must be treated for worms and fleas prior to admission. Untreated animals will be administered appropriate medication by ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’ with costs incurred by the owner.

4. I / We hereby give consent to the proprietors or employees of ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’ to obtain any Veterinary services deemed necessary (24-hour Veterinary service is available), in the event of my animal becoming sick or injured whilst in their care. I/ We agree to pay all costs and fees incurred as a result, including travel time.

* In the event you are uncontactable if any emergency Veterinary Services are required for your pet. You will be required to nominate a figure in the ‘Horsham Pet Lodge Boarding Request’, so that we can advise the Veterinary Practice on your behalf.

5. I /We also agree that there shall not be any liability (whilst all due care is taken) imposed on the proprietors or employees of ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’ in respect of any matter whatsoever in the event of loss, death, injury or sickness of my pet during the period it is in the care of ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’ and its employees.
 
6. In the event of my pet not being collected by myself (or another authorised person) by the agreed time, I/We agree to pay any additional cost incurred. If alternative arrangements for collection are not made within seven (7) days ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’ will have the right to surrender my pet to an appropriate authority, or relocate the animal in question, and I/We will pay any costs incurred due to this action, together with any outstanding boarding or legal fees incurred.

7. Unauthorised entry into pet enclosure/s and / or removal of any animal from the premises of ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’, 35 Three Mile Rd, Vectis, Vic, 3401 will constitute trespassing and may lead to prosecution.

8. Open Strictly by Pre-Arranged Appointment Only: During the hours below. A fee may apply for opening outside of specified times: Please ensure you arrive sharply at the agreed time. This ensures that staff are available to finalise your pets’ admittance and/or pickup.

Monday-Friday: 8.30am-9.30am & 3.45pm-4.45pm
Saturday: 8.30am - 9.30am
Sunday: 3.45pm to 4.45pm 

9. Please note - Daily rate starts on the day of entry. Pickup Day is also charged as a day.

*Boarding rates are subject to change without notice*   

10. Public Holiday boarding rates will incur a surcharge of 15%.

11. Extended Stays of 4 weeks or more will be entitled to a 5% discount.

12. Pets from the same family sharing a room will receive a 5% discount.

13. Christmas (24th – 28th) and Easter (Thursday to Monday) are both charged at a minimum block rate of five (5) days inclusive. (Public holiday rates will apply where applicable).

*Please note we are CLOSED over Public Holiday periods. (Pickup times can be arranged if necessary).
 
14. Additional charges will apply for administering medication, extra feed, own or special diets.

15. Boarding costs are to be paid on the day of admittance of your pet/s into ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’, by either cash or card. Please note there will be a surcharge for credit/debit card transactions.

16. EARLY COLLECTION: there will be no refunds or credits for early pickup of your pet/s, during peak periods (school holidays, public holidays and long weekends). Credit on your account may apply at other times.
 
17. 24 hours’ minimum notice required for any changes to specified drop off or pick up times.
 
18. If you require someone to collect your pet on your behalf, we will require your written or verbal authority to release your pet to them.

19. Cancelled Bookings: Half the booking fee is expected if a booking is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice during peak periods, which includes school holidays, public holidays and long weekends.
 
20. Advise Horsham Pet Lodge if your pet/s have any behavioural problems, such as excessive barking / howling, digging, aggressive with people or animals, disobedient or hard to catch, scared of thunder etc.
This knowledge of your animals’ temperament will enable us to deal with these issues, thus making your animals stay with us a more pleasurable experience.

21. Excessive destruction of our property by your pet/s will be at your expense. ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’ staff will do their best to help minimise these situations.

22. We are happy to return any belongings left behind. Postage charges will apply.

23. All cats must present for boarding in a secure carry cage and dogs must be on a lead for safety reasons.
 

Note: ‘Horsham Pet Lodge’ Management reserves the right to refuse entry to your pet/s for any reason.
